Our story began with a well-worn recipe card and memories of cozy kitchens, where the smell of fresh-fried spudnuts meant something special was happening. These weren’t just any doughnuts—they were spudnuts, made with mashed potatoes in the dough for a fluffy, tender bite that melts in your mouth.
For us, they were more than a treat. They were a tradition. A comfort food passed down through generations, shared at family gatherings, holiday mornings, and quiet weekends. And we knew it was time to share that magic with others.
That’s how Mama’s Spudnuts was born—a small-batch, community-rooted venture bringing that homemade goodness to local markets and kitchens across Saskatchewan.
We started with our ready-to-eat spudnuts, glazed and golden, made fresh for market-goers who want to indulge on the spot. Then came our spudnut kits—each one packed with six perfectly pre-fried spudnuts and a pouch of our homemade classic glaze. Just warm them up in the oven or air fryer, then dunk or drizzle while they’re hot. In minutes, your kitchen smells like home.

Now, we’ve expanded into custom event packages, making celebrations extra sweet with personalized spudnut orders.
