Last night I had the honour of attending the 29th Annual Raj Manek Memorial Banquet (huge thanks to Monica at AgWest Bio for the invite!) 🌟

The event, held at Prairieland Park, was a beautiful evening of connection, mentorship, food (truly amazing dinner!), and inspiration. The keynote was given by Rajen Ruparell of Endy — entrepreneurial visionary, innovator, and someone who really made me think in new ways.

Day one in the new space was a rollercoaster—out of 6 batches, only 1 turned out. But hey, that’s one batch closer to figuring it all out.

Switching from my home kitchen to commercial equipment is a whole new world—different heat, timing, and workflow. I’m calling in my right-hand helper, taking notes, and learning fast.

I always think I’ll nail it on the first try… then life reminds me: progress is messy. So we’ll tweak, test, and celebrate every little win—one spudnut at a time. 🍩💪

About to Take a Big Step... 🍩💛

Mama’s Spudnuts is getting ready to move into a commercial kitchen—for the very first time.

It’s not a forever move (yet), but it’s a trial step toward possibly scaling up—so I can better keep up with spudnut kit orders, pop-ups, and special events.

I haven’t done it yet.
But I’m standing at the edge, feeling nervous, hopeful, and ready to try.

I’m doing it unsure.
I’m doing it with heart.
I’m doing the damn thing.

This next chapter is only possible because of the support I’ve received—from all of you who buy, cheer, and share Mama’s Spudnuts… and from Dani @skipabeetyxe, who’s mentoring me through the process of scaling my recipe to fit real-deal commercial equipment. I’m beyond grateful.

We had the absolute pleasure of providing individually wrapped Mama’s Spudnuts for the SIIT Annual Scholarship President’s Cup Golf Tournament—held at the stunning Dakota Dunes Golf Links on Whitecap First Nation.

Golfers, volunteers, and committee members enjoyed every last bite (not a single one left behind!).
